Fairy Garden in Winter

I have had a small collection of fairy garden items for my small dolls.

During the spring and summer of 2022
I decided to create a fairy garden
with actual plants!

I have not been particularly skilled with plants.
I looked closely at the sunlight and water needed for each plant
before creating a fairy garden in a pot.
It actually lasted outside from spring through the early fall!

When it got colder in the fall, it was time to bring the fairy garden inside.
I tossed the vines turning yellow.
I placed the pot near the window where the cat sits.
Not a good idea!
I put the remaining plants from the back into a smaller pot
and tossed the fern looking things.

The remaining plant was drying up from inconsistent watering,
so I bought a bigger pot for more soil and more room for roots.
I removed the leaves and sections that had dried up
and hope that it will continue to grow with more water!

Amaya declared that this is her garden.

Amaya looked back at the original notes from last spring
and found out that her plant is a China Doll!
Hmmm.....

She brought in the wheelbarrow to remind herself
and her person to water the plants!

She peeked through the stems to make sure everything would be okay.

The plant has been repotted with more soil and added water.
Then it turned itself about for more sun on the areas that are less grown...

And Amaya now wants a frog or a rabbit to live in her Elf Garden.

Fairyland Camping

Amaya's cousin Button moved into a tent while she waits for her own home.

!

Ella, Autumn, and Amaya thought that was a great idea.
They each got their own tents and their own campground.

Amaya's tent was made from the same pattern as Button's tent.

I created a bigger tent for 6 inch Autumn
and an even bigger one for 10 inch Ella!

Ella, Autumn, and Amaya now also have
blue-ticking mattresses.

Ella has been adding some important details to her tent!

Come see what it looks like inside!

Ella has flannel sheets and a cover on her mattress!

Don't worry!
She also has a pillow.

Owen sent her a new friend for Christmas!
His name is Tortoro!
He also sent the water-painting of the Baltimore Oriole.

They can now hang out on the bed in her tent!

Ella has a camera, too!

Ella ordered a Nature Journal
from Little Things of Interest to add to her collection.

She is happy to be a nature explorer with her new tent!
