Out Like a Lamb

On  February 27th and 28th,
we had the 9th biggest snowfall since 1931!
By Saturday the 28th, 8 to 12 inches had accumulated
across the city!

By March 1st, much of it was quickly melting,
but it was still quite a way to start a month with the slogan
"March comes in like a lion..."

Fortunately, being buried under snow didn't destroy the pansies,
which had already bloomed.

The blossoms on the Bradford Pear Trees brought an early sign of spring.

Just a few days later, they were in full bloom!

We visited the Botanic Garden the day after the Spring Equinox.
Spring had officially arrived!

The next day, we visited the Rio Grande.
Well, the non-landscaped bosque had not turned
as green as landscaped areas, but we know it will soon.

3.22.15

The Bradford Pear Trees with their short lived blossoms
had turned mostly into green leaves by the end of the month.

The weather has been warm and beautiful.
March, which came in like a lion,
is going out like a lamb.

We celebrated the last day of March with a trip
to the courtyard area and fountain at the St. James Tearoom.

Their fountain was a starting place for spring photographs
with the water running freely over the rocks.

The grass had also turned green,
and had little dandelions growing in it.

Another landscaped area had purple flowers
that matched our purple outfits!

As a side note, my PukiPuki, Amaya,
had been gone for a face up since the end of February.
She finally returned home on March 25th.
I am very happy to have her home!

She is happy to see what happens next!
