The River: San Antonio Oxbow

I live near the west side of the Rio Grande in  Albuquerque.
I decided to see if I could find another view of the mountains
and the river.

There is a trail along the mesa above the river.

Houses are nearby, but the river next to the houses is
considered a wildlife habitat. The "oxbow" is a meandering
shift that moves away from the Rio Grande.

The green trees are along the Rio Grande.

There are 40 acres wandering to the side with mesa,
shown by the drifting water and brown reeds.

To the south, there is a view of the city of Albuquerque.

The jetty jacks are wood crosses that have been used
in the past as a control barrier for the river.

There were a few geese that I could see and hear
in the oxbow water.

This was a peaceful place to visit.

It has a nice view!
